An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Payroll Officer to join our division based in Baulkham Hills.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll processing for permanent and casual staff
  • Data Entry
  • Interpreting awards
  • Maintaining a payroll database
  • Enter new employees details correctly
  • Maintenance of Payroll System

To be considered for this role you will possess the following:

  • Knowledge of salary packaging, workers compensation, superannuation and payroll tax
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a full function payroll officer position
  • Strong analytical skills with a good attention to detail
  • Intermediate computer literacy with a sound knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Base salary indication $50K - $55K + super

Finance Assistant

Reporting to the Financial Controller in Australia,
you will be responsible for the accounts payable
and accounts receivable function.
 
Operational Responsibilities
  • Maintaining debtors ageing report by calling/emailing/writing to request for payments from clients.
  • Raising debtors invoices and performing accounts receivable
  • Entering supplier invoices onto the finance system and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
  • First point of contact for local suppliers who need further information.
  • Ensuring employee expenses are correctly entered onto the system and paid on time.
  • Maintaining database for new employees, leavers and new suppliers.
  • Setting up and maintaining projects and other standing data in the finance system.
  • Other ad-hoc finance admin duties as required.
Reporting Responsibilities
  • Assist in month-end closing: monthly accruals and preparation of schedules.
  • Assist in year-end audit and preparation of schedules.
  • Assist in preparing of schedules for GST filing.
Knowledge and experience
 
The successful candidate will have:
  • Diploma or university degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar accounting/finance position.
  • Experience using Great Plains or a similar accounting/finance package.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a dynamic team, this newly created role has opened for an experienced Assistant Accountant with relevant industry experience.

Working in the corporate head office,
your duties will include:-
  • Full function accounts payable
  • Full function accounts receivable
  • BAS preparation
  • Bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports
  • Liaising with suppliers and sales consultants regarding account enquiries
This role would suit a highly motivated professional who thrives in high pressure environments.  Advanced level Excel is essential due to complex reconciliations and large ERP exposure is highly desirable.
